The Policy⚡️Flash sessions bring together the foraus community to debate foreign policy news and to come up with thought-provoking ideas!

Do you want to hear from rising voices on topics stirring up foreign policy news and actively make your voice heard as a young foreign policy enthusiast?

Then join the monthly Policy⚡️Flash to connect with other community members of foraus – the Swiss participatory Think Tank on Foreign Policy and debate issues you are passionate about. Keep up to date with foreign policy news and gather new ideas for evidence-based, constructive policy recommendations or thought-provoking events all over Switzerland!

Every first Tuesday of the month, the Policy⚡️Flash brings together our vibrant grassroots community for 45 minutes either during lunch (12.30 pm) or in the evening (6.30 pm). As a foraus volunteer, member, foraus forever alumnus:a or interested person you are welcome to dial in via the zoom link provided to you upon sign up.

Does your foreign policy knowledge still need some development? No worries! For each Policy⚡️Flash session an experienced input speaker introduces us to a current development in foreign policy and then guides the discussion.

✨ This March, our eyes are geared on the 52nd Session of the Human Rights Council and International Women’s Day. The level of gender equality and women's rights varies greatly around the world. What about the often overlooked region of Central Asia? How is civil society fighting gender-based violence there? What are the specificities of womens’ struggle in Central Asia? How can we learn from them?

🔥 Join us to hear Subhiya Mastonshoeva, Human Rights and Gender expert. She has over ten years of experience on gender, peacebuilding, and human rights in Central Asia. Her areas of expertise include prevention and response to gender-based violence, gender in peacebuilding, indigenous and minorities rights and other intersectionality issues. Subhiya is originally from Tajikistan, Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous region (GBAO), home to Pamiri indigenous communities.
