Elections 2023

The next national elections will take place in autumn 2023. Foreign policy is being discussed more widely than it has been for a long time – the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, the changing geopolitical situation and the non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council are opening up foreign policy discussions that have long been closed off: from energy and security policy to questions on neutrality and Europe and migration policy.

 

Despite their obvious relevance and close connection to domestic policy, foreign policy issues tend to be downplayed by political parties during the election campaign, leading to a discussion vacuum in policy areas that are crucial for the future of our country. For the longest time political decisions on these challenges have affected young people in particular. Accordingly, we want to give our volunteer community of young experts a special voice in this election year – because foreign policy is also our beer.
