Idris studied law at the Universities of Fribourg (with a specialization in European law), Hanover and Berne. He then obtained a postgraduate master’s degree (LL.M.) in European Legal Studies at the College of Europe in Bruges. He is currently a doctoral student in business law at the University of Fribourg and the author of several publications on European and competition law issues. Idris is also a qualified lawyer and has worked in a study specialising in business law, at the SwissCore office in Brussels and in the federal administration. For four years, he was a member of the national executive committee of an international organisation involved in intercultural educational exchanges.
