What voices do we hear and, more importantly, which ones do we not? How can we organise our societies in a fair and just way, while taking the planetary boundaries into account. These are the central questions that have accompanied Marie since the start of her career. After completing a bachelor’s degree in international relations and a master’s degree in environmental governance, Marie has spent the last 6 years working in the fields of water governance (Acacia Water), sustainability (Swiss Climate) and citizen participation (step into action and Zentrum für Demokratie Aarau). She has worked in Switzerland, as well as in the Netherlands, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia, which has only strengthened her interest in foreign policy. Guided by her experience of participatory methods of collaboration, she aims to build bridges between the different spheres of society in order to tackle the major challenges of our century together.
