Maher Akraa-Meyer is a journalist and design researcher who graduated from the Private University of Science & Arts in Aleppo, Syria with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. He is pursuing a Master of Arts in Design, Trends and Identity at the Zurich University of the Arts, where he explores «Dialogue Design – A mediation-based design approach to conflict resolution» as his research topic. His final project «Dialogue Tent» aims to create innovative ways of dialogue for addressing conflicts in divided societies. He hopes to contribute to global peace promotion and conflict resolution through his work. His main interest is researching dialogue and mediation in relation to conflicts and media in conflict zones.
