Andreas Oeschger studied history and political science at the University of Zurich and the University of Fribourg. Next to his studies he worked as a tutorial assistant in the Department of Modern History at the University of Zurich. He is currently employed as Academic Associate in Public Diplomacy at the Swiss Embassy in the United States of America. His interests include democratic and market-economy transition processes in Eastern Europe and Asia as well as international development cooperation. He has been a member of foraus since 2018 and co-head of foraus Bern since 2019.
