✨ Join us on March 14th for a very special edition of the Think & Drink in collaboration with AGIR, during the 22nd edition of The Geneva International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights (FIFDH).

Technology, with its remarkable advancements, from shaping new modes of communication to fostering artificial intelligence, now stands at the core of our societies. However, despite its enabling progress, technology acts as a reflective mirror, showcasing the prevailing inequalities in contemporary society — be it in terms of gender, class, or the global north-south divide. How can we champion greater accessibility to technology and recenter it around community values? Join us for an enriching evening, grab a complimentary drink, and delve into a nuanced discussion with our guest Shimonah Mohan from UNIDIR!

🏆 Shimonah Mohan holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute. Commencing as a Graduate Professional in Gender and Disarmament at UNIDIR, she contributed to research on lethal autonomous weapons systems (LAWS) and the dynamics of peace and conflict in the MENA region. Her professional journey also included roles at the Ministry of External Affairs of India and NITI Aayog, the policy think tank of the Government of India. Shimonah's noteworthy publications encompass topics such as A.I. and its Military Implications (2022), Gender Perspectives on Arms Control and Disarmament (2021), and Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems and Existing Legal Frameworks (2021). Currently, she serves as an Associate Researcher in the Gender, Security & Technology division of UNIDIR.
