Stefan studied European Global Studies at the Europe Institute of the University of Basel. He was Co-Regional Head of the regional group Basel of foraus, from 2017-2021 and president of Democracy Without Borders Switzerland since 2021. He has worked for the Swiss Parliamentary Services, among others, and is currently a PhD student at the Centre for Democracy Aarau, researching local democracy.
