Nazanin holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from the University of the West of England (Bristol), as well as an interdisciplinary Master’s degree in European Global Studies from the University of Basel. Her academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of sustainability, peace, and security studies. Alongside her academic training, she has gained practical research and administrative experience. She has worked with the Social Research and Methodology Group at the University of Basel and contributed as a researcher to the Conflict Barometer (2022) at the Heidelberg Institute for International Conflict Research (HIIK), focusing on the case of Sudan. More recently, she supported the Legal Department of HEKS (Hilfswerk der Evangelisch-reformierten Kirche Schweiz) in administrative and organisational tasks related to refugee cases and matters concerning Swiss administrative and legal procedures. In addition, she is actively engaged with international organisations addressing global challenges, where she aims to contribute to meaningful work on pressing global issues.
