Matthias Rast was previously Co-Lead of the International Law Program at foraus and now accompanies the work of the think tank as a member of the Review Board. He works as a Policy Advisor on sanctions at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO. Prior to taking up this role, he worked on international peace and security as well as humanitarian issues, including at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs during Switzerland’s first membership of the UN Security Council and with the UN Mission in Mali (MINUSMA).
