Louisa Merten studied literary writing in Biel. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Contemporary Arts Practice at the HKB in Bern and is working on her first novel “Hundesöhne”. Questions of identity, of belonging and exclusion, of violence and love run through the author’s prose. Louisa received the Hirschmann grant for master’s degree students attending Swiss universities of applied sciences and has been engaged in the Hirschmann Policy Kitchen on biodiversity in the 2022 spring semester.
