Lawrence Zünd holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Lausanne. He has studied in China and Lebanon, where he developed a deep understanding of local and regional issues. As a proponent of interdisciplinarity, he focuses on the role of perceptions and emotions in socio-political turning points. Multilingual himself, he considers it essential to analyse primary sources in their original language when addressing a specific issue. Besides multilateralism and foreign policy he is interested in new technologies, cyber-related issues, decentralised governance, anti-money laundering measures, as well as the growing challenges of energy and environment.
