Fabienne Meyer-Akraa is a nurse and specialist in health in the migration and asylum system. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing, with focus on research from the Zurich University of Applied Studies. There she explores “Requirements for the training of nursing professionals in the healthcare of refugees in the Swiss healthcare system” as her thesis research topic. Her final project aims to gain a deeper understanding of the qualifications required for nursing care for refugees in the Swiss healthcare system in order to formulate recommendations for the future training of nursing professionals. Fabienne hopes to contribute to the further development and sustainable establishment of a revised nursing curriculum. Her main research interests areglobal health, migration and refugee health.
