Carmela holds a BA in Sociology and Business Administration and an MA in Development Studies with a specialization in Conflict, Peace and Security. She currently works as a scientific collaborator at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. Carmela’s interests are peacebuilding and human security, in particular women’s participation in peace and security policy and postcolonial feminism.
