Nihat, who is originally from Turkey, has lived in Istanbul, Vienna, and Brussels before settling in Switzerland. After his university studies, he began his career at the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA in Bern. He currently practices as a lawyer specializing in financial market regulation, with a focus on anti-money laundering and good governance. From August 2019 to August 2022, Nihat was co-responsible for the “Financial Center” program at foraus. During this time, he worked on several publications, including those related to sustainable finance. Within the board, Nihat currently manages the “Legal” and “Finance” departments jointly with Livio Bucher.
