Johan Sauser is a member of the foraus board. He has been a doctoral assistant at the Global Studies Institute (GSI) at the University of Geneva since 2024. Johan holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a Master’s degree in European Studies.

He is a teaching assistant for the course on Switzerland’s foreign policy and is in charge of the international relations seminar on EU policies. His thesis looks at the EU’s regulatory dynamics through the prism of computer science and complex systems.

Johan was co-coordinator of the Geneva regional group between July 2022 and July 2024. He has a particular interest in the cross-cutting themes of mobility and European integration, on which he has organised several events with foraus. He took part in drafting the Project Brief ‘Protecting the world from future pandemics’ and the foraus Foreign Policy Briefings for the 2023 election year.
